Ruby Rose isn’t in the latest trailer for Season 4 of Orange Is The New Black, but the Aussie star is making waves for an incident surrounding a plate of french fries that were tossed around last Friday at Rebellion Bar and Urban Kitchen in NOLA. Rose and her crew made reservations earlier in the day at the popular restaurant, but because of how busy the restaurant was that night, owner Seung Hong told Rose and her friends that the kitchen was backed up and that it might be awhile for food. Hong and a bartender tried to mediate the situation by offering Rose and Company free drinks twice, but the actress declined, explaining to the staff that she is sober. Then the fries hit the fan. Hong described the incident to The Times-Picayune.

“She was having like a tantrum. She was awful. One of my bartenders was walking by and could tell they were upset, and (Rose) threw food at him. … Ruby told my bartender that if she was a bigger man, she would kick my ass, meaning me.

He thought maybe it was an accident, so he came back and he asked, ‘Is everything ok?’ And she picked up a handful of french fries and threw them at him. I think she was like … trying to be a bully.”

After the fry was tossed, Rose and her party were asked to leave the restaurant.

Rose’s version is a bit different and she went on Facebook to tell her side of the story, even adding a playful, “Fry-day the 13th” introduction.

Rose mentions that she worked in hospitality for several years. But come on Ruby, everyone knows the cardinal rule about restaurants: Don’t screw with people who handle your food.
