As you may have heard, the National Rifle Association (NRA) finally commented on last Friday’s school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut — in the forum of a press conference held by chairman Wayne LaPierre in which the press was not allowed to ask any questions — and boy was it a doozy. The short version: America needs to create an army of armed gunmen (good guys) to defend children in classrooms from armed lunatics (bad guys).
Naturally, as it is wont to do whenever something ridiculous happens, Twitter collectively had some pretty funny and interesting things to say about it. On the following pages are a few of my personal favorites.
