X-Men: Days Of Future Past director Bryan Singer announced new castmembers of the film via Twitter by posting a picture of the cast’s headshots. He summed up the picture as, “3 Oscars, 6 GoldenGlobes, 1 BAFTA, 2 Emmys, 2 Tonys, 5 Oliviers, 1 Ceaser – Now let’s blow s**t up!”
The newly-signed castmembers are Daniel Cudmore (who is returning as Colossus), Booboo Stewart (who is shirtless in 90% of his Google image search results, FYI), and Iron Man 3‘s Fan Bingbing, a huge box office draw in her native China. Bingbing will be playing Blink, a teleporting mutant, which may explain why fellow teleporters Nightcrawler and Azazel are reportedly not returning for X-Men: Days Of Future Past.
Here’s the picture Singer tweeted (full size here).
Pictured (from left to right), Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Nicholas Hoult, Peter Dinklage (playing an unknown antagonist, possibly Bolivar Trask), Halle Berry, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Omar Sy (playing an unannounced character), Anna Paquin, Daniel Cudmore, Fan Bingbing, and Booboo Stewart (playing an unannounced character).
Yes, two of the newest castmembers are named Bingbing and Booboo. Somewhere, Brian Benben is anxiously awaiting a phone call.
