Glenn Close Closes In On ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’

RELEVANT.

Following the news that John C. Reilly might be playing the Agent Coulson style role to the Guardians of the Galaxy, we’re finding out who their Nick Fury is. Glenn Close is in final negotiations to play the head of the Nova Corps, reports THR and Deadline. THR also offers an update on the role offered to John C. Reilly, calling the character a “newbie agent that acts as a liaison between all the characters”. We hope he resolves all conflicts by telling the parties involved to rub their dingus.

Marvel will have to sign Glenn Close soon, as Guardians Of The Galaxy is scheduled to begin production within a month. She’d be joining a cast which includes Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, Ophelia Lovibond as (maybe) an aide to The Collector, Michael Rooker as Yondu, Lee Pace as an unnamed villain, Enzo Cilenti in an unannounced role, and possibly John C. Reilly.

They haven’t yet told us who will voice Rocket Raccoon, but he better watch out. Glenn Close and furry critters don’t mix…
