Fast National ratings for Sunday, May 10, 2015.
The latest season finale for “The Good Wife” helped CBS sweep Sunday primetime overall, while the season finale for “Once Upon a Time” and the series finale of “Revenge” pushed ABC to victory among young viewers.
Meanwhile, NBC's “A.D. The Bible Continues” and “American Odyssey,” two of the only shows remaining on the network TV bubble, did unimpressive numbers.
Let's get to the numbers…
Among adults 18-49, ABC averaged a 1.5 rating for Sunday night, tops in the key demographic. CBS was second with a 1.1 key demo rating, followed by FOX's 1.0 rating and the 0.9 key demo rating for NBC.
Overall, though, CBS averaged an estimated 8.2 million viewers and a 5.2 rating/10 share for Sunday night. ABC was a distant second with 5.385 million viewers and a 3.2/6, topping NBC's 4.56 million viewers and a 2.8/5. FOX was fourth with 2.23 million viewers and a 1.3/2.
7 p.m. – CBS started primetime in first overall with 8.38 million viewers for “60 Minutes,” which was third with a 1.1 rating among adults 18-49. NBC's golf-inflated “Dateline” averaged 6.88 million viewers, topping the 5.91 million viewers for ABC's “America's Funniest Home Videos” as both networks posted an hour-winning 1.4 key demo rating. FOX's repeats of “The Simpsons” and “Bob's Burgers” averaged 1.48 million viewers and a 0.6 key demo rating.
8 p.m. – A second hour of “60 Minutes” kept CBS in first overall for the 8 p.m. hour with 8.82 million viewers, tying for second with a 1.2 eating among adults 18-49. ABC's “Once Upon a Time” was second overall with 5.51 million viewers and led the hour with a 1.7 key demo rating. NBC was third overall with 4.17 million viewers for “Dateline,” finishing fourth with a 0.9 key demo rating. FOX was fourth overall and tied for second in the key demo with low airings for “The Simpsons” (2.78 million viewers and a 1.2 key demo) and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” (2.55 million viewers and a 1.2 key demo rating).
9 p.m. – CBS' “The Good Wife” finale drew Sunday's biggest audience with 9.23 million viewers and tied for second with a 1.2 rating among adults 18-49, compared to the 5.33 million viewers and 1.7 key demo rating for ABC's “Once Upon a Time.” NBC's “A.D. the Bible Continues” averaged 4.47 million viewers and a 0.9 key demo rating, beating FOX's “Family Guy” repeat (2.62 million and a 1.2 key demo) and a new “Bob's Burgers” (2.485 million and a 1.2 key demo).
10 p.m. – “Battle Creek” averaged 6.36 million viewers to win the 10 p.m. hour for CBS, finishing second with a 0.8 rating among adults 18-49. The series finale of ABC's “Revenge” rose to 4.8 million viewers and a 1.3 key demo rating. NBC's “American Odyssey” trailed with 2.72 million viewers and a 0.5 key demo rating.
