‘Game of Thrones’: Producers kind of apologize for last week’s episode

Fans of Game of Thrones are still reeling from the events of last Sunday”s episode. So producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have chosen to apologize, not for the fate of a certain character, but for the unintended consequences that outcome has created.

[SPOILER ALERT]

In an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the men behind the show (while sitting on wads of cash) expressed their regret for people who will now yell “Hodor” every time they want someone to “hold the door.” This, of course, is in reference to Hodor”s death while protecting Bran Stark from an advancing gaggle of the White Walkers” zombie army.

“We forgot how annoying people could be,” Weiss said. “That”s our bad. Again, so, so sorry. People are the worst.”
