Looks like that “22 Jump Street” post-credits montage wasn't a joke.
Sony is putting a third film in the Channing Tatum-Jonah Hill comedy franchise into motion, hiring “22” writer Rodney Rothman to write the screenplay, according to Deadline. There's no word yet on whether directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller will return at the helm, however.
“22 Jump Street” ended with a montage poking fun at the idea of a third (and a fourth, and a hundredth) film in the series, but after grossing nearly $320 million worldwide a second sequel is a no-brainer for the studio.
