Emily Blunt is getting ready to meet “Barton and Charlie and Checco and Bill.”
The actress is in talks to join Rupert Friend in the comedy, which follows a down-on-his-luck con artist on a road trip through Civil War America while being pursued by the powerful newspaper mogul he grifted.
Friend is making his feature directorial debut with the film, and production is expected to begin in the spring, according to Variety.
Blunt and Friend (“Homeland”) previously appeared together in 2009's “The Young Victoria.”
Blunt recently starred alongside Tom Cruise in “Edge of Tomorrow,” and will next be seen in Disney's all-star musical “Into the Woods.”
