Don't be too shocked, but Jennifer Lawrence, the movie star who seems to have everything except a sense of balance, is 2015's most valuable star, according to New York magazine. She was also 2014's most valuable star, so, way to keep it going, J-Law!
The list, which factors in box office numbers, social media mentions, “likability ratings,” and critical darlingness, was compiled with help from FiveThirtyEight's Harry Enten. After Lawrence, there's Robert Downey Jr., Leonardo DiCaprio, Bradley Cooper, and The Rock — er, “Dwayne Johnson.”
Rounding out the top 10 are Tom Cruise, Hugh Jackman, Sandra Bullock, Channing Tatum, and Scarlett Johansson.
And now for the fun part: the stars whose valuableness plummeted from 2014. Getting little red down arrows next to their entries, indicating a drop of more than 20 places from last year, are Daniel Radcliffe, Amy Adams, Mila Kunis, Andrew Garfield, Robert De Niro, Ben Stiller, Russell Crowe, Kate Winslet, and Steve Carrell.
But they all fared better than Shia LaBeouf, whose name was nowhere to be seen. Just a few years ago, in 2012, he was the 20th most valuable star.
