The Stif-meister and Finch are back for more domestic pastries in “American Reunion,” the fourth film in the long-running “American Pie” franchise. Actors Seann William Scott and Eddie Thomas took a moment to talk with HitFix about the series.
The two share memories of the original film’s premiere and subsequent massive success, and how it changed their lives. Being fresh-faced teenagers in the late ’90s, Scott and Thomas also recall just how cool it feels to be one of the stars on a major Hollywood feature for the first time (Scott, channeling Stifler: “You guys are gonna make me breakfast? A Breakfast burrito?).
Scott admits that jumping back into the flow of things was rocky at first, noting how he initially was “over-thinking” Stifler.
Likewise, Thomas concedes to feeling some hesitation about doing yet another “Pie” movie, but was won over by the great script they had to work with.
The film also reunites cast members Jason Biggs, Alyson Hannigan, Tara Reid, Chris Klein, John Cho, Eugene Levy, Jennifer Coolidge and the rest of the “American Pie” class of ’99.
“American Reunion” is now in theaters.
