Bernie Sanders And Some Scientists Slam House Republicans For Tweeting A Breitbart Climate Denial Article

Bernie Sanders pledged to do battle with the Donald Trump administration if they impact citizens’ rights, and he’s following through. The Bern has taken aim at the House Committee on Science, Space and Technology, which tweeted out a link to a Breitbart News article denying global warming:

Breitbart, of course, was run by Steve Bannon, who built a haven for anti-Semitic readers and will now act as Trump’s chief strategist. The article claims that data proving 2016 as the hottest year on record is pure propaganda. Author James Delingpole is not a scientist, and his point goes against NASA’s climate data findings. Also, the House Committee on Science, Space and Technology oversees NASA. Sanders swiftly called out what he saw as a suspect move.

His sentiment was felt some in the field of science, who quickly called it out:

Delingpole didn’t seem too annoyed by these detractors and warned them to get used to this new view:

“Sanders appears to have been especially irritated by the fact that the story was retweeted by the House of Representatives Committee on Science, Space, and Technology. If so, he’d better get used to it. As from next year, pretty much the entire U.S. government — both the presidential administration and Congress — is going to be in the hands of people who really don’t believe in the ‘man-made global warming’ scare story.”

Delingpole makes an interesting point as Trump has been known to deny that global warming is real and called it a cheap ploy by the Chinese. But he has been known to waver on the issue and will likely do so again.
