Conservatives Are Turning On Tomi Lahren After She Reveals That She’s Pro-Choice

On Friday, the controversial Tomi Lahren (who proudly calls herself your “worst nightmare“) stepped away from her usual stomping grounds at The Blaze and called herself the voice of “middle America” at The View. The 24-year-old Lahren also felt that there aren’t enough young conservative women in the media, so fans gravitate toward her, and there’s probably something to this theory. Above, Tomi favored Trumps’ Muslim ban and expressed plenty of grievances against Democrats, but near the end, something unexpected happened. Lahren admitted to being pro-choice:

“I’m … you know, someone that loves the constitution and I am someone that’s for limited government, and so I can’t sit here and be a hypocrite and say ‘I’m for limited government, but I think that the government should decide what women do with their bodies.’ I can sit here and say that, as a Republican, and I can say that, ‘You know what, I’m for limited government, so stay out of my guns and you can stay out of my body as well.'”

Needless to say, her new, apparent stance did not go over well on social media, where conservatives are attacking Lahren. Most prominently, the Reagan Battalion account (which recently unearthed the Milo Yiannopoulos audio that led to his swift downfall) took aim at Lahren by posting three-month-old audio of her attacking pro-choicers and tossing around terms like “baby-killer” and “murder.”

Conservatives pounced upon Lahren for expressing her pro-choice views.

Lahren saw the storm brewing and defiantly tweeted about how she’s sticking to “my truth” on the abortion matter.

She was quickly shaded about “truth” by one of her colleagues, reporter Kate Scanlon, from The Blaze.

Lahren continued to defend herself and speak out against a shared-brain “monolith” in a series of tweets, in which she insisted that pro-choice doesn’t necessarily mean pro-abortion.

It’s easy to see why some folks would call Lahren out for hypocrisy. After all, she did spend several View moments describing how Hillary Clinton would have been a worse president than Donald Trump in terms of advancing women’s rights. She explained this by dissing Hillary for staying with Bill after his cheating ways went public. Of course, Lahren doesn’t really explain her logic, nor does she confront Trump’s intent to defund Planned Parenthood, which provides vital healthcare services for low-income women and their families. And of course, Lahren doesn’t care about Trump’s lewd comments about women, which are certainly comparable to Bill’s womanizing ways.

Well, this will eventually blow over for Lahren, who is rumored to soon be departing her right-wing outlet, as soon as her next controversy arrives. Unfortunately for her, left-leaning tweeters aren’t really taking her side.
