Jon Stewart Uses The ‘Back To The Future’ DeLorean To Blast The History Channel

It must be nice to be Jon Stewart. I mean, it must be nice to be able to get the DeLorean used in Back To The Future (at least I’m assuming it was the actual one since it was recently up for auction) as a prop for a segment to poke fun at the History Channel after info the Daily Show got from the channel earned it a “Pants on Fire” rating by Politifact, a non-partisan fact-checking website.

(UPDATE: The DeLorean used in the sketch is a replica made by this guy.)

“Apparently the clip we showed was off by around 66 years!” Stewart said about a date used in a sketch on the War on Christmas” last week.. “For this mistake, I was awarded the fact-checking site Politifact.com’s lowest grade possible “Pants on Fire.” … Of course, it’s my fault for trusting something called the History Channel! You know, with facts about things that happened in the past. The next thing you know, we’ll all find out the Nazis did not employ alien technology in their quest for world domination. You know what, History Channel? You have f*cked me for the last time!”

Stewart then jumped in the car to meet up with Ben Franklin mid-coitus, and hilarity ensued.
