A United Airlines flight headed to Orange County, California, had to be diverted to Wichita, Kansas last night after the emergency evacuation chute somehow inflated inside of the plane mid-flight. The flight, which was carrying 96 passengers and five crew members, landed safely and no one was injured.
“The flight diverted to Wichita … No one was injured and the flight landed safely,” United said in a statement. The Boeing 737-700 took off from Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport.

While the emergency landing had to be pretty annoying, to make lemonade out of lemons — just add a bounce house and rock climbing wall and what you’ve got yourself is one hell of a block party. Plus, if there’s anything I’ve learned in my tenure writing for UPROXX, short of the plane crashing into the Rocky Mountains or the ocean — nothing that can ever happen to you on your flight can compare to a pooping dog. Emergency Evacuation Chute Flight > Poop Plane, every time.
