J.K. Rowling has released a brand new Harry Potter short story on her Pottermore website, because it’s been at least 40 minutes since ABC Family aired Prisoners of Azkaban and god forbid we forget about the Boy Who Lived for even that long. The 1,500-word tale is written in the style of a newspaper article by gossip hound Rita Skeeter, and it concerns a 34-year-old Harry attending the Quidditch World Cup with “threads of silver” in his hair and “nasty cut over his right cheekbone.”
It’s the first time Rowling has written about Harry, Ronnie the Bear, and Hermione since the epilogue of Deathly Hallows, the Lost finale of book endings, which somehow came out seven years ago. It’s weird “Albus Severus” hasn’t caught on like Arya…Anyway, here’s the new story.
