Under normal circumstances, Blake Griffin would be the dunker and not the victim of another playing skying over him to the rim. But that’s what happened last night when Greivis Vasquez threw the pass that sent Derrick Williams (12 pts., six boards, four assists) soaring to the rim over Blake.
Williams, who was playing his first game with the Kings after being traded by Minnesota for Luc Mbah a Moute earlier in the week, wasn’t able to celebrate the dunk since the refs ruled that Jared Dudley had fouled Williams before he got free. Waive the basket – and the highlight of the night – and Kings ball on the sideline.
No worries because what does Williams do on the ensuing play? Throws down another alley-oop, of course.
