Guess Who's Coming Back For 'Dark Knight Rises'

Picture related.

Assume everything beyond this point is a spoiler, and read on only if you don’t mind hearing that Liam Neeson is almost certainly going to be in The Dark Knight Rises when it opens July 20th. Earlier this year ShowbizSpy said Neeson was on set to film a scene, but they’re wrong so often that we didn’t mention it. Now we have news of Ra’s Al Ghul’s return (be it in present time or in a flashback sequence) from a more-trusted source: Warner Brothers themselves.

Printed in Warner’s official production notes for Wrath of the Titans is this piece of news:

Neeson next appears in Peter Berg’s actioner “Battleship,” and he also will be seen in Christopher Nolan’s much-anticipated action thriller “The Dark Knight Rises.”

Wait, so Battleship is an “actioner” and The Dark Knight Rises is an “action thriller”. I knew “actioner” was just a code word for “crap”. That settles that.
