In 2011, Jared Lee Loughner shot former congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords in the head during one of her public meetings with her constituents. She survived the attack, but Loughner killed six other people during the shooting.
Five years later, Loughner is apparently suing Giffords for “emotional and psychological damage,” as the New York Daily News reports, incurred from being framed for the “hoax” shooting, and unfairly jailed for it.
Loughner is also demanding that he be freed from prison (he is currently serving seven consecutive life sentences) in the lawsuit. To add insult to injury, he claims that Giffords, who is also apparently a member of the Illuminati, was never actually shot and injured.
Here’s an excerpt from this lawsuit:
“I was handpicked illegally to be a sleeper assassin,” the convicted killer writes in the lawsuit, filed to the U.S. District Court in Arizona on March 18. “MY HEAD is full of chips and this evil empire govt is controlling me within.”
There’s question as to whether the lawsuit is legitimate, however. Loughner is in prison in Minnesota, but the lawsuit envelope was postmarked in Philadelphia, where a fake lawsuit filed in the Kalamazoo mass shooter’s name came from as well. The New York Daily News hasn’t been able to confirm whether this lawsuit is a hoax or not. At this point, I’m not sure which outcome is better or worse.
