Last week, it was announced that Brick Mansions would be released in theaters in the U.S. on April 25, which is about a month later than it was originally supposed to be released. Whether or not the decision was made by the folks at Relativity Media and EuropaCorp in order to better market the film as Paul Walker’s last is only known by them, but that’s still basically how Brick Mansions is going to be described, regardless of the decisions that Universal makes regarding the late actor’s role in Fast and Furious 7.
Written by Luc Besson and directed by Camille Delamarre, Brick Mansions tells the story of a cop (Walker) who infiltrates a gang in order to stop it from selling or detonating a neutron bomb. What’s the difference between this undercover cop story and all of the others? Parkour, of course, as in this gang is jumping and flipping all over the town, and only Paul Walker can stop the RZA’s evil ways.
Check out the first official trailer for Brick Mansions and then go watch Running Scared and make four other people watch it, too, if you really want to honor Walker’s memory.
