Liam Neeson’s Taken clone Run All Night opened with $11 million a few weeks ago and Sean Penn’s Taken clone The Gunman debuted to an even worse $5 million this past weekend, so I suppose the obvious solution was to try another non-Taken Taken movie (NTT) with John Travolta.

THR reports today that Amanda Schull has joined a Travolta vehicle called I Am Wrath. I Am Wrath was originally reported by The Wrap, who called it “Travolta’s Taken,” and added that it was being directed by Chuck Russell, of Eraser and Scorpion King fame.

Travolta stars in the action-thriller as Stanley Hill, the man who sets out for revenge after corrupt cops fail at catching his wife’s murderer. Schull will play his daughter. True Blood actor Sam Trammell is also starring in the film, which is currently shooting. [THR]

Given the plot and the director, that sounds as much like John Travolta’s The Marine as it does his Taken. If you’ll remember, Travolta has already starred in Pierre Morel movie, From Paris With Love ($8 million opening in 2010). In any case, I think you can understand, this story was just an excuse to post that Photoshop up there. The John Travolta movie I really want to see is the one where he has to use all his wits and hairpieces to flee a team of assassins from the Church of Scientology with the help of his talking choker necklace voiced by Nick Nolte.
