I hate Disney for putting out a movie with Kermit the Frog and Tina Fey, thereby making it impossible to dislike, even though I know full well that Disney is the evil empire. (*sigh*) I welcome our new felt overlords. Muppets Most Wanted stars Fey, Ricky Gervais, Ray Liotta, and pretty much everyone in Hollywood except for Stephen Dorff, with music supervised by Bret McKenzie. REALLY? THEY’VE GOT FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS TOO??!
Disney’s “Muppets Most Wanted” takes the entire Muppets gang on a global tour, selling out grand theaters in some of Europe’s most exciting destinations, including Berlin, Madrid and London. But mayhem follows the Muppets overseas, as they find themselves unwittingly entangled in an international crime caper headed by Constantine—the World’s Number One Criminal and a dead ringer for Kermit—and his dastardly sidekick Dominic, aka Number Two, portrayed by Ricky Gervais. The film stars Tina Fey as Nadya, a feisty prison guard, and Ty Burrell as Interpol agent Jean Pierre Napoleon.
Did I mention it also stars Christoph Waltz and Danny Trejo? I ALREADY SURRENDERED, DISNEY! YOU’RE PANDERING TO A CORPSE!
Coincidentally, Danny Trejo had a homeboy named “Muppet” in the pen. How did he get that name? Ju don wanna know, ése.
Opens March 14th, 2014.
