Capcom recently released a new trailer for the latest Street Fighter V DLC fighter, Ibuki. A fan-favorite, Ibuki looks as fast and deadly as ever, although some may question why she now lacks pants. Still, a pretty good trailer! With one glaring exception.
Keep at eye out at the 48-second mark. Do you see it? Look closely. Yup, there’s a Windows mouse cursor just hanging there in the middle of the trailer for everybody to see. Apparently Capcom captured the trailer’s footage off the PC build of the game, and forgot to scoot the cursor off the page. I’ll admit, I’ve done that a time or two when capturing screens off YouTube, but having a mouse cursor hanging around in the middle of a major trailer for a triple-A game like Street Fighter V is pretty embarrassing.
Of course, this kind of stuff is far from unheard of from Capcom. This is the company that has misspelled titles on multiple game boxes. To their credit, Capcom does tend to have a sense of humor about this kind of stuff — they’ve yet to remove the mouse cursor from the Ibuki trailer, despite it going viral. I suppose there’s no taking it back once it’s out there.
Ibuki will be released alongside Street Fighter V‘s revamped story mode in June.
