Cary Elwes is one of those actors who never seems to have gotten a break. He was in a few huge hits, in major roles, but it was never enough to make him the star he deserved to be. So he’s been stuck doing indie movies, craptacular Saw sequels, and now, David E. Kelley’s sure-to-be-disastrous Wonder Woman.
We’ve already talked about how David E. Kelley is trying to cram “Ally McBeal” into the Wonder Woman mythos, but Elwes is apparently going to be Diana’s gentle, reassuring uncle and run the day-to-day operations of Themyscira Industries.
We look forward to seeing the three episodes he’s in before this show is yanked off the air mid-episode with a title card saying “Come Back, ‘The Cape’, All Is Forgiven.”
