Bryan Singer and what I’m guessing is a crew member for X-Men: Apocalypse have spent the week location scouting in Montreal, where the film will be shot starting in April. The director added a few selfies to his Instagram account, showing what looks like the Cerebro set, both the old…
…and quite possibly the “new.” And by “new,” I mean “the ’80s” because that’s when this film will be set.
Totally not enough neon lighting to make me believe it’s really 1983.
Of course, that first photo could be a new (old?) version of the Danger Room that we just barely got to see in X-Men: The Last Stand. I hope it’s just a musty weight room, and we get a special deleted scene of Hugh Jackman doing bicep curls for 30 minutes while he looks directly in to the camera. Or maybe I just need a cold shower.
X-Men: Apocalypse is scheduled for a May 27, 2016 release date. It will be the third in the sorta-prequel sorta-reboot “throwback” trilogy of X-Men movies.
