Since X-Men: First Class, Fox’s mutant franchise has been on the rise, and thus far it’s a trend that is continuing as we head into the next film in the series, X-Men: Apocalypse. However, while there are many plans for the franchise’s future, one key player won’t be a part of it, according to the actress herself, as Jennifer Lawrence has confirmed the next X-Men film will be her last.
Considering her time on The Hunger Games is now over, there’s no real need for Lawrence to work as a supporting character in another franchise anymore. At this point, she’s far more likely to either continue her career on more “serious” feature-film fare or take the lead on another franchise. However, it will be a lot harder for her to do that now than it was with the first Hunger Games considering she’s a much more expensive entity these days. If she does take on another franchise role, rest assured it won’t be happening without some heavy price negotiations.
