The official trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse is arriving later today (UPDATE: NOW IT’S HERE), but the Spanish-language version has already leaked (available above, until we can swap out the official version). And yes, that was a brief glimpse at a bald James McAvoy (Professor X) at the end of the trailer. The actor recently revealed on The Graham Norton Show that his character goes bald through particularly horrible circumstances: “He ends up going through something so horrible and painful that he literally half pulls his hair out half… it falls out.”
This is admittedly a very low quality version of the trailer, but we’ll take all the X-Men: Apocalypse we can get. We also have a motion poster and official synopsis available below to tide us over if the video gets yanked, but we’re hoping it stays up and Fox releases the HD version soon. Come on, Fox, show us ALL THE MUTANTS.
Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.
I wasn’t picking up much of that in the leaked trailer. Probably should have paid more attention in Spanish class. Now I’m a blogger.
