More episodes of Adventure Time are on their way, folks! Ahead of its yet-to-be announced 7th season premiere date, Cartoon Network just renewed Pendleton Ward’s animated series for its 8th season. THR reports Uncle Grandpa, Steven Universe, Regular Show and Clarence have received renewal orders, as well:
“It’s a banner year for Cartoon Network Studios original productions,” said chief content officer Rob Sorcher. “It is particularly gratifying to see shows so creatively forward-thinking also deliver so powerfully with the audience.”
This seems like a no-brainer, as Cartoon Network has ranked as the top network for kids ages 6-11 for the past three weeks. Steven Universe is set to return on Monday July 13, Clarence will return the following week on July 20, and new episodes of Uncle Grandpa will hit later this summer.
Along with these renewal announcements, they look to be taking advantage of this “banner year” as both Cartoon Network and Adult Swim are going to have a huge presence at San Diego Comic-Con later this week.
