Our hopes weren’t high when the Ender’s Game film adaptation was announced, although we cheered up when we heard Harrison Ford, Ben Kingsley, and Hailee Steinfeld were added to the cast. The new trailer Summit premiered at a Google+ hangout is entertaining enough, but Harrison Ford seems to know something we don’t. He sounds like he really phoned in that narration. No, we mean literally phoned it in to an answering machine then said, “Thmmts alywgmming” which means “That’s all you’re getting” in Harrison Ford mumble-lese.
Ender’s Game was adapted and directed by Gavin Hood, who won an Academy Award for Tsotsi and can also be blamed for a movie that totally never happened called X-Men Origins: Wolverine but that movie isn’t real anyway la la la I can’t hear you.
