Imagine for a moment just how amazing it would have been to spend your childhood sleeping in the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon. How rad is that!? This kid’s bed was constructed by his DIY designer uncle, and I have an immediate question: Does it come in adult sizes?
Geekologie shared the image of the finished project, which came to grace the internet courtesy of Imgur user edmcgowan. Turns out, this is Peter McGowan of PlainJoe Studios, a company “guided by the passionate pursuit of quality design and practical solutions for [its] clients.” In other words, McGowan makes awesome things like Millennium Falcon cockpit beds.
According to his post on Imgur:
Over a year ago I posted a photo of my nephews Star Wars room while it was in the process of being built. Here is the final product. #plainjoe #plainjoestudios
You’re one lucky nephew, kid. You can make the Kessel Run in 12 parsecs without even changing out of your pajamas.
But what if, say, a grown adult wanted a bed like this? You know, to impress the ladies or lads he or she chose to bring home for coffee. As Triumph the Insult Comic Dog proved on Late Night with Conan O’Brien, such smooth moves probably won’t fly.
