We’ve got a year to go before Spider-Man: Homecoming hits theaters. The movie’s shooting as we speak, but that doesn’t mean the cast and crew don’t have time to have a little fun and drop a hint or two about the movie.
Tom Holland shared the above Spider-selfie from the set, presumably taken by a camera webbed to the ledge of a building. Interestingly, we get a good look at his web-shooters in the photo. They appear to be the classic mechanical ones fans have been hoping would make a comeback, complete with the palm button and the spray under the wrist. Oddly, they’re on the outside of his suit, though, so perhaps this is a test-run for a refined version, courtesy of Tony Stark.
Also of interest, this appears to be a full stunt setup. There are safety mats below, and it looks like Holland is fairly high up. So Spidey’s web-shooter tests may not go particularly well. But he’ll be okay; after all, Tom Holland’s got the moves to be Spidey. We’ll find out just what our favorite webslinger is up to in 2017.
