I can’t say that I’ve ever been super attached to Uncharted protagonist Nathan Drake, but damn if the latest story trailer for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End didn’t make me feel some feelings. It looks like the relationship between Nathan and his heretofore unseen brother Sam is going to be the core of Uncharted 4, and I can already tell the game is going to drop some heavy dramatic bombs on us. The trailer also gives us a rare look at Nathan Drake as a kid, and more glimpses of the game’s cast of characters, including new villains Rafe Adler and Nadine Ross. Seems like there’s going to be plenty of twists and turns in this one.
Of course, the trailer is also an impressive showcase of Uncharted 4‘s gorgeous graphics. From snowy ruins, to mysterious mountain villages, to eye-popping underwater scenes, all the environments look fantastic. And the characters! Naughty Dog has battled back valiantly against the Uncanny Valley and delivered some truly fantastic character models. This is the current-gen graphical milestone we were all hoping it would be.
So, what do you folks think? Feeling that hype for Nathan Drake’s last adventure? Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End swings onto shelves April 26.
