Mickey Factz just threw himself smack dab into the middle of the Joe Budden and Drake “beef” with “Eye Witness,” a two minute diss to Joey. The caption for the song says “just having fun” but it’s highly doubtful that the Jersey native will find any of this funny. Backed by some sinister production by Nottz, Mickey might as well have named the song “American Sniper” because he’s definitely shooting at Joey from long range.
Drake ain’t respond and like a bitch you got emotional at it
Guess it’s me that’s gotta show you the balance
I was Melo to the bullshit way then, guess who Rose to the challenge?
Fly guy, get my thoughts from the sideline chump
And you should know the consequences of a blindside punch
Why lie? the tie tie, get ya tye dye trunks
Ain’t been the same since Wu-Tang fucked the wi-fi up
Social media whore, on Twitter crying, niggas Skyping
Glad Ice took ya laptop, quit ya typing
Ran from the Ghost, no snapchat, this man wack
Drake took Tahiry cookies, yeah, Aubrey Graham cracked her
Mickey Factz, once thought to have been the next big thing in rap, sort of disappeared from the collective conscious. Some of you might remember that Mickey Factz was in the room with Joe Budden when Joey got pressed on by members of the Wu-Tang. Those of you with an even longer memory might remember Factz gave Drake a look back on “Overdose” in 2008 from his mixtape The Leak, Vol. 2: The Inspiration. Suffice it to say, all three of these emcees have a relationship and while Factz might’ve been completely random with his record, it’s not like he doesn’t have a relationship of some sort with the parties involved.
For what it’s worth, Mickey Factz is actually a pretty good battle emcee and will obviously make a much better match of wits than Drake would. “Eye Witness” is at least a testament of that much, with the New York emcee dropping some pretty effective punchlines in quick succession. Joe’s been reaching for a battle with Toronto’s finest and it’s unlikely that he’s truly interested in responding to Mickey, however, Joe’s about as predictable as Florida weather in the summer so don’t be surprised if there’s a response of some sort within the next 48 hours.
As a small reminder, Joe Budden is four disses in on Drake with “Making a Murderer (Part 1),” “Wake,” “Just Because,” and “Afraid.” The last two tracks came after the French Montana and Drake released “No Shopping” and Drake called Joey out on stage.
