How many words does the not-exactly-verbose Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) say in Stranger Things? For reasons known only to Reddit user ValdemarSt, we now have the answer to that question: 246.
This is impressive. Not only did this committed viewer count the number of words the psychokinetic preteen said, they listed every single one of those words and even created a pie chart breaking down what percentage of those words were spoken in each episode.
As you can see in the chart below, Eleven uttered only 1% of her dialogue in Episode 1, grew significantly more loquacious during Episodes 2 and 3, quieted down a bit in Episodes 4, 5 and 6, experienced a surge of garrulousness in Episode 7 and – perhaps weighted down by portents of doom – grew relatively quiet again in Episode 8. Her final words: “No more.” And here she was just starting to come out of her shell.
