“Arrested Development” patriarch George Bluth Sr. (Jeffrey Tambor) has a new assistant – only this one doesn’t talk.
“My character’s name is Heartfire,” said actress and Season 4 guest-star Mary Lynn Rajskub when we caught up with her at the show’s red-carpet premiere. “I speak from the heart, but I don’t use any words…I assist him in building a new age compound with like yurts and people that are becoming self-actualized.”
To be sure, it’s a far cry from Judy Greer’s power-hungry Kitty Sanchez (confirmed to be returning for the new season, in case you were wondering), who engaged in a long-term affair with the elder Bluth when she worked for him at his legally-dubious Bluth Company. So will a similar scenario be playing out between George and Heartfire in the new season?
“You know, not yet, but now that you mention it, I should feel more slighted,” deadpanned Rajskub – who previously co-starred with Tambor on “The Larry Sanders Show” – of the pair’s non-sexual relationship. “Yeah, I’m a little upset about that. But we did get it on off-camera. What’s uuuup!”
