Beyonce is re-releasing her surprise 2013 album in a big way. “BEYONCÉ Platinum Edition Box Set” is due on Nov. 24, and contains on it two completely new songs; four remixes with contributions from Nicki Minaj, Jay Z, Kanye West, Pharrell Williams and Mr. Vegas; and live DVD compilation from her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour; plus the original “visual album,” which was 14 songs and 17 music videos.
The deluxe double-CD and double-DVD box is touted as limited edition, and features a “mini version of the official 2015 Beyonce calendar.” It's up for pre-order now.
For those who first bought the album digitally, they will be “given the opportunity” to purchase the new bonus material, purportedly on the same date. Beyonce's original deal for “Beyonce” was as an iTunes exclusive release; perhaps Beyonce — who is an evil genius — will expand the offering to other services straight off the bat?
