AUSTIN – Robert Rodriguez dug into a film of his past for his new television show, but he's already looking forward to its future with more seasons.
“From Dusk Till Dawn,” which premieres on the filmmakers' newly founded El Rey cable network on March 11, is getting a launch at SXSW, and Rodriguez was on hand to talk about how the 10-episode TV show differs from the film of the same name.
Check out what the “Sin City,” “El Mariachi” and “Machete” director has to say about entertainment for the Latino market.
And if you're in the Texas capitol tonight (March 8), you can come say hi in person: HitFix is throwing a dusk-y party with El Rey and “From Dusk Till Dawn” from 11:30pm to 2 a.m. RSVP at sxsw@hitfix.com.
