Carice van Houten has one surefire way to effectively deal with rude fans: threaten them.
“I’ll tell them, ‘careful who you’re messing with, because if I make another shadow baby, then you are the first to know,'” said the actress (who plays evil priestess Melisandre) at the SAG Awards on Saturday. “So they can get a little scared even, it’s funny.”
Speaking of rude fans, Van Houten’s co-star John Bradley-West has had his fair share of negative encounters.
“Sometimes you think they’re gonna be nice, and they can throw you a bit of a curveball,” said the actor, who plays the role of Samwell Tarley on the HBO series. “A guy came up to me once and said…’One question: why’s your character still so fat?’ And I said…’Well, because I’m still so fat.’…and he said, ‘I just don’t believe it, don’t believe it for a second that you’d still be so fat.’ I said, ‘There’s dragons and White Walkers in this show, I cannot believe that my weight is the thing that you’re just not buying about it!'”
