LAS VEGAS — Miguel stole the show both at the Grammy Awards earlier this year and at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards tonight (May 18), but for very different reasons.
As he sang his hit song “Adorn,” the R&B crooner attempted to make a leap from one stage platform to another, but falling short and jutting his legs over the heads and limbs of two unsuspecting fans up front at the MGM Grand Arena. Gotta give it to the man: he played it off best he could, reclining into a stagey sitting position at the edge of his intended target, then finishing out the song hitting his notes.
As for his hit humans, at least one was taken backstage and treated with an ice pack.
“I’m very happy to bring my new friend, Khyati, we just met . Unfortunately we did not meet under the best circumstances, but I think we’re okay,” Miguel told Billboard afterward.
“I ‘Adorn’ him,” she said.
And good thing, too.
