The official Alien Anthology Twitter account just teased another behind-the-scenes look at Alien: Covenant, this time with a brief, looping video that shows a special effects technician working on what appears to be a xenomorph claw:

While the appendage in question certainly looks like the hand of a xenomorph, Bloody Disgusting notes that the extraterrestrial killing machines we've seen in prior films actually have six fingers, not five — which would seem to indicate a perhaps more-human version of the beasts we've seen previously. For his part, Ridley Scott promised the return of the creatures in the forthcoming Prometheus followup/Alien prequel, telling The Wrap: “We”ll have them all: egg, face-hugger, chest-burster, then the big boy.”
Alien: Covenant is slated for release on August 4, 2017.
