Foo Fighters are taking America by storm.
In the wake of “Sonic Highways'” Nov. 10 release, Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Chris Shiflett, Nate Mendel and Pat Smear have slated their largest North American tour to date for the summer and fall of 2015, the band announced today. The group previously announced a massive 20th anniversary concert at RFK Stadium in Washington D.C. on July 4, in addition to a show at Chicago's famous Wrigley Field on August 29. British hard rockers Royal Blood will support during the July/August run of dates, while post-punk pioneers Mission of Burma are making a special appearance at the July 18 show in Boston's Fenway Park.
To help fend off “Scalper-BOTS programmed to clog online queues and snatch up huge amounts of tickets to resell them,” the tour pre-sale begins exclusively at box offices beginning this Saturday at 10am, and online the following Monday (Dec. 1). General sales start December 4 and 5 (check local listings).
