Katherine Heigl is in hot water.
The former “Grey's Anatomy” star has some splainin' to do in the first clip from her forthcoming NBC drama “State of Affairs,” which is officially set to debut on the network this fall. Starring Heigl as CIA analyst Charlie Tucker, the series is her first regular TV role since departing the long-running ABC hospital drama in 2010.
So what's the nature of her dilemma? Something about allowing a terrorist to slip through the U.S. government's fingers because she wanted to do some high-falutin' “vetting” of intelligence. Oh, brother! You know it's bad when they call in President Alfre Woodard to give you a tongue-lashing.
