Spaceballs, originally released in 1987 on June 24th, is 28 years old on the day of this publishing. According to IMDB, the working title of this hilarious movie was “Planet Moron,” and the people involved were anything but what one would imagine the inhabitants of that planet to be… morons… the inhabitants would be morons… not the people who worked on the movie.
To celebrate this non-multiple-of-five anniversary of Spaceballs, we're going to take a closer look at the brilliant talents of one of its stars…
Michael Winslow's talents for beatboxing, sound effects and impersonations are legendary, and while it was Cheech and Chong movies followed by Police Academy that launched him into the limelight, it is this scene in Spaceballs that you are most likely to come across on Saturday TV 28 years later.
WAIT WAIT!!! There is more. Don't go running of back to Facebook to look at your friends' babies until you watch him perform “Whole Lotta Love” by Led Zeppelin.
STOP! One more thing. It is mind blowing that he found and could recreate all the small differences in this many typewriters.
