“I know you seek vengeance as much as I do…”
With those words, the Asgardian hero Thor (Chris Hemsworth) implores his bad boy brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston) to help him in his fight against a new evil, led by Malekith the Accursed (Christopher Eccleston) in the upcoming “Thor: The Dark World.”
In the brand new “Silence of the Lambs”-style clip, the truly desperate Thor turns to his enemy, who is being held prisoner after the events of last year’s “The Avengers.”
“Thor: The Dark World” opens in one month, but it appears that Marvel Studios wants to remind viewers that fan favorite Loki will have a big role in the sequel, despite not being its main villain. Director Alan Taylor (“Game of Thrones”) previously acknowledged that Hiddleston’s part was beefed up in last-minute re-shoots.
But can Loki be trusted?
It also stars Stellan Skarsgård, Idris Elba, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Natalie Portman, and Anthony Hopkins.
“Thor: The Dark World” opens November 18.
