Having been banished back to Asgard at the end of “The Avengers,” it’s fair to say that we will not find Loki in the best place at the beginning of this fall’s “Thor: The Dark World.” So has the power-hungry supervillain hit his rock bottom?
“I don’t know if I can tell you that,” grinned Tom Hiddleston, stopping to chat with us briefly at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday. “Listen, he’s on his way there somehow. I mean…literally, he’s buried deep in the darkest recesses of Asgard in a dungeon, unthought of, unseen and forgotten. And when you’re written out of life like that, when you’re written out of history, and your family have no interest in who you are, people who used to be your friends…you’ve got a lot of time to think. So I’d say…if he’s not there yet, he’s on his way down.”
