Fast National ratings for Tuesday, June 2, 2015.
“America's Got Talent” and “I Can Do That” were both down from last week's premieres, but the three-hour reality block still had no trouble carrying NBC to a primetime sweep in the key demo and a comfortable nightly victory overall.
Most of Tuesday's originals were down from last week, including “Extreme Weigh Loss” and “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader,” while “Hell's Kitchen” and “iZombie” earn credit for staying flat.
Let's get to the numbers…
Among adults 18-49, NBC averaged a 2.1 rating for Tuesday night, easily tops in the key demographic. FOX and CBS both averaged a 0.9 key demo rating for Tuesday, while ABC averaged a 0.8 key demo rating. The CW trailed with a 0.5 key demo rating for the night.
Overall, NBC averaged an estimated 8.96 million viewers and a 5.4 rating/10 share for Tuesday, well ahead of the 7.58 million viewers and 5.1/9 for CBS on the night. There was a big drop to FOX's 2.0/3 and 3.09 million viewers and to the 2.56 million viewers and 1.8/3 for ABC. The CW averaged 1.62 million viewers and a 0.9/2 for the night.
8 p.m. – The first hour of “America's Got Talent” averaged 10 million viewers and a 2.2 rating among adults 18-49 to win the 8 p.m. frame for NBC. CBS' “NCIS” repeat was second with 8.64 million viewers and a 0.9 key demo rating. FOX's “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader” was third with 2.9 million viewers and fourth with a 0.7 key demo rating, compared to the 2.88 million viewers and 0.8 key demo rating for ABC's “Fresh Off the Boat” and “Black-ish” repeats. The CW's repeat of “The Flash” averaged 1.49 million viewers and a 0.4 key demo rating.
9 p.m. – “America's Got Talent” rose to 11.39 million viewers and a 2.6 rating among adults 18-49 to win the 9 p.m. hour for NBC. CBS' “NCIS: New Orleans” repeat averaged 7.92 million viewers for second and a 0.9 key demo rating for third, compared to the 3.28 million viewers and 1.1 key demo rating for FOX's “Hell's Kitchen.” ABC's “Extreme Weight Loss” was fourth with 2.08 million viewers and 0.7 key demo rating, barely holding off the 1.75 million viewers and 0.6 key demo rating for the season's penultimate “iZombie” on The CW.
10 p.m. – CBS won the 10 p.m. hour overall with 6.18 million viewers for “48 Hours,” which tied for second with a 0.9 rating among adults 18-49. NBC's “I Can Do That” slipped to 5.49 million viewers and easily won the hour with a 1.5 key demo rating. ABC's “Extreme Weight Loss” was a distant third with 2.71 million viewers and tied for second with a 0.9 key demo rating.
