Fast National ratings for Monday, February 16, 2015.
Coming off of an additional three hours of programming on Sunday, ABC's “The Bachelor” was down week-to-week, but still helped the network win Monday night in all measures.
CBS took second place overall thanks to “Mike & Molly,” Monday's most-watched show, despite a tepid performance for the “Stevie Wonder: Songs in the Key of Life” special. FOX, meanwhile, was second in the key demo with “Gotham” and “Sleepy Hollow” rising week-to-week.
Meanwhile, NBC got middling interest in the two-hour finale for “The Celebrity Apprentice” and no real interest in the season [series] finale for “State of Affairs.”
On to the numbers…
Among adults 18-49, ABC averaged a 2.2 rating for Monday night, tops in the key demographic. FOX was second with a 1.8 key demo rating (topping the night among men 18-49), followed closely by CBS' 1.7 key demo rating. NBC averaged a 1.4 key demo rating for Monday primetime, well ahead of the 0.6 key demo rating for The CW.
Overall, ABC averaged an estimated 8.73 million viewers and a 5.6 rating/9 share for Monday night, topping the 7.965 million viewers and 5.0/8 for CBS. NBC was third overall with 5.485 million viewers and a 3.4/6, edging out the 5.3 million viewers and 3.2/5 for FOX. The CW averaged a 0.9/1 and 1.37 million viewers for the night.
8 p.m. – CBS led the 8 p.m. hour overall and finished second in the key demo with “2 Broke Girls” (8.64 million viewers and a 2.2 key demo) and “Mike & Molly” (9.17 million and a 2.2 key demo). ABC's “The Bachelor” was a close second overall with 8.76 million viewers and won the hour with a 2.4 rating among adults 18-49. FOX's “Gotham” was third overall with 6.155 million viewers and third with a 2.1 key demo rating, ahead of the 6.06 million viewers and 1.6 key demo rating for the first “Celebrity Apprentice” hour on NBC. The CW's “The Originals” averaged 1.4 million viewers and a 0.6 key demo rating.
9 p.m. – “The Bachelor” moved up to first overall for ABC with nearly 9 million viewers and stayed first with a 2.6 rating among adults 18-49. CBS' “Stevie Wonder: Songs in the Key of Life” special averaged 7.34 million viewers for second and tied for third with a 1.4 key demo rating. NBC's “Celebrity Apprentice” finale was third overall with 5.92 million viewers and second with a 1.6 key demo rating. FOX's rose to 4.45 million viewers and a 1.4 key demo rating without “Scorpion” in the picture. The CW's “Jane the Virgin” drew 1.33 million viewers and did a 0.6 key demo rating.
10 p.m. – ABC's “Castle” won the 10 p.m. hour with 8.43 million viewers and a 1.6 rating among adults 18-49, holding off the 7.65 million viewers and 1.4 key demo rating for CBS' “Stevie Wonder: Songs in the Key of Life.” NBC's “State of Affairs” finale drew 4.48 million viewers and did a 1.0 key demo rating.
