“Dancing with the Stars” and “The Voice” led the normal ABC and NBC Monday split. The only meaningful variations included drops for “Night Shift” and “The Following.”
Also declining on Monday? “Scorpion,” “Mike & Molly” and, well, most things.
Let's get to the numbers…
Among adults 18-49, NBC averaged a 2.5 rating for Monday night, tops in the key demographic. ABC was second with a 1.9 key demo rating, followed closely by the 1.7 key demo rating for CBS. FOX's 0.8 key demo rating and the 0.1 key demo rating for The CW trailed.
Overall, though, ABC averaged an estimated 11.81 million viewers and a 7.7 rating/13 share for Monday night. NBC was second with 9.555 million viewers and a 5.9/10, topping the 5.5/9 and 8.55 million viewers for CBS. There was a big drop to FOX's 2.56 million viewers and 1.6/3 and then to The CW's 498,000 viewers and a 0.4/1.
8 p.m. – “Dancing with the Stars” led the 8 p.m. hour overall with 13.16 million viewers, finishing second with a 2.0 rating among adults 18-49, compared to the 11.41 million viewers and hour-winning 3.0 key demo rating for NBC's “The Voice.” CBS was third with “2 Broke Girls” (7.16 million and a 1.8 key demo) and “Mike & Molly” (7.715 million and a 1.8 key demo). FOX's “Gotham” repeat averaged 1.88 million viewers and a 0.6 key demo rating, followed by the 555,000 viewers and 0.2 key demo rating for The CW's “Originals” repeat.
9 p.m. – Things went up in the 9 p.m. hour, but the order remained the same. “Dancing with the Stars” averaged 13.94 million viewers for first and a 2.1 key demo rating, compared to the 11.93 million viewers and 3.3 rating among adults 18-49 for NBC's “The Voice.” CBS' “Scorpion” was third with 9.2 million viewers and a 1.9 key demo rating. FOX's new “The Following” averaged 3.25 million viewers and a 1.1 key demo rating, rather comfortably ahead of the 441,000 viewers and 0.1 key demo rating for The CW's “Jane the Virgin” repeat.
10 p.m. – “NCIS: Los Angeles” averaged 9.01 million viewers, beating the 8.32 million viewers for ABC's “Castle,” while both dramas did a 1.5 rating among adults 18-49. NBC's “The Night Shift” averaged 5.33 million viewers and a 1.3 key demo rating in third.
