You can now mark your fall calendar for vampire ass-kicking and zombie apocalypse survival. Syfy has revealed the fall premiere dates for Van Helsing, Z Nation, and more shows.
These are the premiere dates announced today at the network”s Television Critics Association presentation:
Van Helsing series premiere – Friday, September 23 at 10 p.m. ET/PT
Channel Zero: Candle Cove series premiere – Tuesday, September 27 at 9 p.m. ET/PT
Aftermath series premiere – Tuesday, September 27 at 10 p.m. ET/PT
Z Nation season 3 premiere – Friday, September 16 at 8 p.m. ET/PT
Incorporated series premiere – Wednesday, November 30 at 10 p.m. ET/PT
That last one may be the most-anticipated of the bunch. Produced by Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, Incorporated is a thriller set in a near future where corporations have unlimited power. The series follows Ben Larson (Reign alum Sean Teale), a young executive who conceals his true identity to infiltrate a dangerous corporate world to save the woman he loves. Julia Ormond also stars.
Another reason I believe Incorporated holds some promise: On its writers staff is Qui Nguyen – I got to see his excellent play Vietgone at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival last month. Vietgone, set in the aftermath of the Vietnam War, certainly looks to be a very different work than Incorporated, but I”m curious to see whether Nguyen brings to the series anything akin to the brilliant tricks of language he used in Vietgone. The play”s smart humor was on-point, mixed in with tenderness, so I hope Syfy lets Nguyen bring some of his comedy skills to Incorporated too.
No premiere date for the third season of 12 Monkeys yet, but EP Terry Matalas did recently unveil a poster that looks to confirm the time travel show will be back sometime in 2017.
