“Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief” star Logan Lerman dropped in on WonderCon last week to promote his upcoming 3D adventure film “The Three Musketeers.” He spoke with HitFix about his role in the film and his experiences learning how to fence.
In the film, Lerman plays the dashing young d’Artagnan, who is on the path to becoming the Fourth Musketeer. The original three are portrayed by Matthew McFadyen (“MI5”), Ray Stevenson (“Punisher: War Zone”) and Luke Evans (the upcoming “Immortals”).
The film, directed by Paul W.S. Anderson (the “Resident Evil” films), also stars Orlando Bloom (“Lord of the Rings”), Christophe Waltz (“Inglourious Basterds”), Juno Temple (the upcoming “Dark Knight Rises”) and Milla Jovovich (the “Resident Evil” films).
Lerman will soon be seen in the adaptation of “The Perks of Being a Wallflower,” alongside “Harry Potter” starlet Emma Watson.
“The Three Musketeers” opens nationwide in 3D on October 14, 2011.
