Friday night is all right for fighting, and both Bellator and World Series of Fighting proved that with some incredible finishes. WSOF 31 and Bellator 156 ran at the same time, so multi-screen finagling was in order to catch all the action.

On Bellator, Chidi “Chidi Bang Bang” Njokuani landed a devastating liver kick to Thiago Jambo in the third round. Jambo went down and Njokuani followed up with ground and pound, putting Thiago away.

Over on WSOF, Jason High survived against Mike Ricci and landed a huge left hook that sent “The Martian” stumbling backwards. Ricci finally dropped, High pounced, and like Njokuani, finished his opponent with ground and pound.

Sticking with World Series of Fighting, heavyweight champ Blagoi Ivanov ran into some trouble early in his title defense against Josh Copeland due to a massive cut on his head. The gash got checked by a cage-side doctor and Ivanov was thankfully allowed to continue.

While the fight didn’t end with a finish, Copeland and Ivanov brought plenty of excitement in their five round battle.

Ivanov won a unanimous decision to retain the belt, but I wouldn’t mind seeing a rematch down the line.
